I have not written in weeks...
Jason and I went on our first babysitter assisted date at the restaurant called THIRTEEN. It was incredible, we talked about business, exciting things that are going on that have nothing to do with Scarlett or Disney. We ate like pigs, I had the duck and he had a ribeye, the wine was flowing, and I had a dress on THAT I COULD NOT BEND OVER IN without being completely inappropriate, because that is what people can do when they don't have a 2 year old with them, so that is what we did. Leah, the new sitter is a gift from whom ever you worship.
The Chili Cook Off at Brewers Beach... We went, we ate chili... we saw a beautiful beach... it was hot.... really, really, really, hot. I had chili that was made with Kielbasa, by a huge Polish fella that thought my shirt said "Porn on the Beach", because my hair was draped over the "B" of "Born on the Beach" an improvement by my standards, and a clear indication that I need to hang out more with Polish chili-makers because they are hilarious.
Scarlett was invited to another birthday party, we had a lovely time. I keep talking about the community here, but it is the biggest (and best) curve ball of this island, people just raise their children here together, and it is possibly the reason that we are considering being here longer. There is just something wonderful about being around people that love their babies, love everyones babies, it makes a huge difference.
My Momma will be here in T-ONE WEEK. I am a bit homesick with all this going on. By a "bit" I mean "I WANT MY MOMMA"
I tried Aerial Yoga. I also now believe I know what it feels like to be hogtied. It was incredible, it felt like getting a deep tissue massage and going to a carnival all in one, minus the corndog, damn it. I left feeling nauseous, dizzy, and wanting a "hammock". They call them hammocks, I call them Cirque du Soleil for beginners.
We also started the PiYo program, Pilates, Yoga, and Cardio. I.LOVE.IT. It is not as hard on the body as T25, but I am thinking that it is good work.
We had a rainstorm, it was incredible, a half of an hour more rain and our pool would have overflowed. We danced and danced in it! Water for the cisterns!!!! I've been fast and loose with my washing machine, to the point I am sure that I will likely be Dadlies (the water delivery service) lone customer next week. They have lots of trucks that say "God helps those who help themselves" on the side. "God helps those who help people who use way too much water" too.
Oh, one more thing, I rammed another persons car. The sweetest person ever. I just backed right into the side of her car, I looked, it just wasn't there. Even after I hit her, I looked and didn't see her! She was darling about it, she was on her way off the island, said she'd be back in three weeks, and not to worry about anything, she'll call me when she got home. We exchanged information and she was off.
Good Times.
